Oboist Jennifer Montbach is the founder and artistic director of the Cambridge-based Radius Ensemble, an innovative and critically acclaimed chamber music group dedicated to reinvigorating classical music for a new generation.  She has been lauded for her programmatic vision that has “attracted a  younger, more diverse audience” (Boston Globe), as well as for the “evocative lyricism and nuanced phrasing” of her performances (Bay Windows).  Jennifer has appeared with numerous orchestras and ensembles throughout New England, including the Portland (Maine) Symphony, the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, and the Orchestra of Indian Hill, Composers in Red Sneakers, and the Harvard Group for New Music.  Jennifer has held positions in development and marketing at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project.  She graduated from Harvard College with honors and holds a master of music degree from New England Conservatory, where she studied with Laura Ahlbeck and Alfred Genovese, then principal oboist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
